Powertech Announces Results From Annual And Special Meeting

 VANCOUVER, B.C. - POWERTECH URANIUM CORP. ("Powertech" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that all resolutions presented at the Company's Annual and Special General Meeting (the "Meeting") held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, including the appointment of directors, the appointment of BDO Canada LLP (formerly BDO Dunwoody LLP) as auditors, the approval of the Company's 2011 Stock Option Plan and all unallocated options under the 2011 Stock Option Plan, were approved by the shareholders of the Company.

The directors elected to serve for the ensuing year are Richard F. Clement, Jr., Thomas A. Doyle, Douglas E. Eacrett, Greg Burnett, Malcolm Clay, Wallace M. Mays and John Dustan.

Mr. Dustan is a new member of the Company's board of directors. In the past five years, Mr. Dustan has served as an advisor to, or director of, numerous public and private sector groups, including the Alberta Public Service Pension Fund, Pacific Blue Cross and its subsidiary, BC Life Insurance Company, the Vancouver Foundation and BC Special Olympics. He was also a governor of the Law Foundation of British Columbia and a public representative on the Professional Conduct Enquiry Committee of the BC Institute of Chartered Accountants, of which he is currently an ad hoc member.

There was no other business brought forward at the Meeting.
